*Never burn your candle for more than 3 hours at a time and be sure to trim your wick down to 1/4 inch after each time it is lit; this will also reduce the amount of soot emitted. You can do this with wick trimmers, scissors, or even pinching off the burnt portion of the wick when it is completely cooled.
